Job Description
Join the Wilton Volunteer Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. The department offers multiple volunteer roles including interior firefighter (fully trained to enter burning buildings), exterior firefighter (support on-scene operations), apparatus operator (drives fire trucks), and support firefighter (behind-the-scenes roles). All required training is provided at no cost.
Requirements: BEFO (Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations) course required for all active firefighters; IFO (Interior Firefighting Operations) course required for interior firefighters; CPR, HAZMAT, ICS courses; 6-month probationary period; physical fitness requirement (fitness support provided); willingness to respond to emergency calls
