Starting Pay: $33,000 annual starting salary, $7,200 Louisiana State Pay Supplement, Longevity Pay – 10 years of service

Benefits: Louisiana State Retirement System, 100% Paid Individual Medical Insurance, Family Insurance Assistance provided, Retiree Health Care Insurance, Retiree Health Care Stipend, Cancer Screening – (Louisiana's Act 554)

Incentive Pay: Education Incentive: $2,400 – $4,800 annually, EMT Advanced Pay: $2,400 annually, Hazard Pay Bonus: $6,000 annually, EMT Paramedic Pay: $6,000 annually

Time Off: 14 Paid Holidays, 9 Vacation Days after the first year, Annual Sick Leave

Schedule: Firefighters work a 24-hour shift rotation: 24 hr On / 24 hr Off / 24 hr On / 24 hr Off / 24 hr On / Off for 4 Days. Average 108 work-days per year.
