Job Description
The City of Houma Fire Department seeks highly motivated individuals to serve the community with integrity and courage, protecting lives and property. Starting salary is $31,933.20 per year, increasing to $39,133.20 after 1 year with Firefighter I certification. Applicants must pass a Civil Service Entrance Exam and submit an application for employment.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, valid Louisiana driver's license, pass Civil Service Entrance Exam (75+ score), pass Firefighter Recruit training program (NFPA 1001 standard), pass physical, psychological screening, and drug screening
