CERTIFIED FLORIDA FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDICS

UIFR has partnered with Lee County EMS and is approved to provide ALS care. Being a barrier island it is imperative that we provide the highest level of service as we can experience delays in transport times. Customer service and care for our community is essential for success.

Florida State Certified Paramedic credentialed by Lee County EMS preferred not required.
* If not credentialed - candidate can volunteer until he/she has completed the credentialing process with Lee EMS. Upon completion you will become active and paid.

UIFR MINIMUM SHIFT REQUIREMENTS
Useppa Island is unique and candidates must be able to perform a multitude of tasks with in initial limited resources (staffing) on a 24hour shift basis. A minimum of 3 shifts per months including one (1) weekend day will be required.

Initial 30-45 min interview via ZOOM
Written, Skills & Physical Assessment (1 Day)
Final Interview
Timeline and dates will be determined
Please note assessments can be scheduled on a weekend
If you currently work for a fire department, an approval form will be required and signed by your Fire Chief.

Requirements: Florida State Certified Paramedic credentialed by Lee County EMS (preferred), State of Florida Firefighter Certificate, EVOC, Current BLS Healthcare Provider, Current ACLS, Boating certification (Captains License or Boaters Safety Course recommended)

Salary: Base Rate begins at $15.00
