*These are the minimum threshold requirements for the CO FIREfighter Testing Consortium. Individual departments may hold more stringent requirements. In order to be considered for each agency you must comply with their minimum standards. For example, some agencies require EMT-B and HazMat certifications, however, the timing of the requirement may differ. Please see the department(s) job description for specific information on individual department requirements.

Mandatory Written Examination:
Your exam will be offered electronically and you will take the exam in your own home. There will be multiple sessions offered and each will be proctored virtually. All sessions are tentatively scheduled during business hours within the week of October 10th ? it is your responsibility to ensure you have flexibility to test during these times.
After the application deadline you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule and prepare for the exam. Please read through the instructions carefully before your exam date. Failure to follow the steps outlined may cause the electronic exam to not work properly, potentially resulting in your removal from the testing session.
