Requirements
Augusta County Fire-Rescue is seeking qualified applicants to fill part-time BLS & ALS EMS vacancies. These positions are hourly with starting rate of $11.00 to $14.50 per hour based on certification and experience.
Successful applicants will create a pool of personnel to fill shift vacancies on an ?as-needed? basis. These positions will be assigned to work various 12-hour and 24-hour shifts primarily based out of Rescue 16 (Craigsville), Rescue 6 (Stuarts Draft), Rescue 25 (Riverheads), and Rescue 26 (Weyers Cave).
This position will be required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays while preparing for and responding to emergency calls from the public.
PREREQUISITIES:
Minimum of 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Valid Driver?s License
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC 2)
Certified as an Virginia Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or Advanced
Hazardous Materials Awareness
NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
Current CPR Certification (BLS Healthcare Professional or equivalent)
Copy of current VA DMV Driving Record
Preference given for Fire / EMS work experience and BLS and/or ALS CSEMS released.
