Firefighter Applicant Pool

Firefighter applicant pool for the City of Roanoke Rapids. Position involves general fire fighting work including preparing equipment for fire calls, fighting fires, fire salvage, and equipment/vehicle maintenance. Applicants must submit a City of Roanoke Rapids Fire Application. Applications accepted year round.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, good character, good physical condition, pass drug test, North Carolina or Virginia Class B driver's license, WorkKeys Silver Certificate or higher, firefighter experience preferred but not required
