Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic

Sunnyside Fire is building an eligibility list for immediate hire in 2025 and maintaining a continued eligibility list for future openings!

In order to be eligible to participate in the City's application screening process as an entry level applicant, the following should be completed in this order:
- Complete written testing with Public Safety Testing (PST).
- Complete the online Personal History Statement (PHS) on your PST profile.
- Obtain a valid CPAT. The CPAT can be obtained from any provider (including PST), but written testing and PHS must be completed with PST. (Need Proof of completed CPAT prior to job offer.)

Scores from the PST eligibility list are good for one (1) year from the date of PST testing.

Requirements: Age 21+, US Citizen, High School Diploma/GED, Valid Washington State Driver's License, No felony convictions as an adult (juvenile convictions reviewed case-by-case), Ability to read, speak & write English, Vision correctable to 20/20, EMT Certification required, CPAT required (within 12 months), Written Examination required, Personal History Statement required (within 14 days of passing exam), Paramedic Certification preferred, Prior firefighter experience preferred

Salary: FF Base Salary per month as of Jan 1 2026- $6,958.69 Top step FF Salary per month as of Jan 1 2026- $8,458.34
