Firefighter

Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue is establishing a hiring list that will be valid for one year. We anticipate hiring 1-3 applicants from the list. We encourage both entry-level and lateral candidates apply. All applicants must have the following: Valid PST written test. All test scores are valid for one calendar year. Applicants must possess a valid CPAT assessment. All test scores are valid for one calendar year. If CPAT is completed through PST, your scores are automatically provided when you apply. If CPAT is completed through another certified provider, upload proof of non-PST CPAT to your personal PST account. Save the file with this naming convention: CPAT. KVFR will be holding interviews and an assessment center on Wednesday, May 13th. Applicants will be notified on May 8th, if they are invited to the interview and assessment center.

Requirements: Minimum age 19, US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, High School Diploma/GED, Valid Washington State Driver's License (within 30 days of hire), EMT Certification, Valid PST written exam, Valid CPAT (within one year), Pass criminal background check, Pass medical physical including drug screen, Ability to read, speak and write English

Salary: Entry level Firefighter/EMT: $7,186.26/month; Lateral Firefighter/EMT with 12-36 months of Service: $7,635.40/month; Lateral Firefighter/EMT with 36-60 months of Service: $8,084.54/month; First Class Firefighter/EMT and Lateral Firefighter/EMT with 60+ months of Service: $8,982.83/month
