Job Description
Candidate profiles will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled. Lateral Entry submissions require: Candidates must hold a Washington State Paramedic or NREMT-P certification. Candidates must hold IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter I and II certifications. Candidates must also have been employed as a career firefighter by a comparable department within the past three years, including at least one year as a non-probationary employee. Uploaded copies of all required documents. A current, completed Personal History Statement (PHS). Expired PHS forms will not be accepted.
The District serves a 142 square mile area in and around Sequim. The population of the District is approximately 40,000. The District has six stations; three of those stations are staffed, three are volunteer. The District currently has 55 career suppression staff, 6 administrative staff, 4 miantenance division staff, 3 part-time staff and approximately 50 volunteers. The District responds to over 9,000 incidents per year.

Candidates must meet and maintain department medical, physical, and grooming standards. Candidates must sucessfully pass a background investigation. Candidates must sucessfully pass a psychological evaluation.
Requirements: Washington State Paramedic or NREMT-P certification, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter I and II certifications, employed as a career firefighter by a comparable department within the past three years with at least one year as a non-probationary employee, age 18, US citizenship or work authorization, high school diploma/GED, valid Washington State driver's license, ability to read/speak/write English, NFPA 1582 medical exam pass, psychological evaluation pass, drug screen pass, background investigation pass, vision requirements (LEOFF II standards)
Salary: $7,585.59 – $10,667.23/mo.
