Sedro-Woolley Fire Department - Part Time Firefighter/EMT has 12 vacancies. The eligibility list is a continuous listing and maintained as scores are received from PST with oral board interviews conducted on an as-needed basis. Vacancies are filled by Civil Service "rule of five" with the top five candidates forwarded to the appointing authority for background investigation & selection as vacancies occur. Requirements: Written Examination required. Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) required as described below PST or any verifiable and valid CPAT to be considered. CPAT must not be more than 6 months older than application deadline. Minimum Age 18. US Citizen/Lawful Permanent Resident. High School Grad/GED required. Driver's License required. Ability to Read, Speak & Write the English Language. Vision Requirements: Correctable to 20/20. College Recommended, but not required. Prior Experience: 1 year experience preferred but not required. Must currently hold certification as a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician. Firefighter 1 Certification required. Prior FF Experience required. Prior EMT Experience required.
