Firefighter/EMT

Sedro-Woolley Fire Department - Part Time Firefighter/EMT has 12 vacancies. The eligibility list is a continuous listing and maintained as scores are received from PST with oral board interviews conducted on an as-needed basis. Vacancies are filled by Civil Service "rule of five" with the top five candidates forwarded to the appointing authority for background investigation & selection as vacancies occur. Salary: $18.00/HR

Requirements: Minimum age 18, US Citizen/Lawful Permanent Resident, High School Diploma/GED required, Valid Driver's License required, Ability to Read, Speak & Write English required, Vision correctable to 20/20, Written Examination required, Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) required (PST or any verifiable and valid CPAT; must not be more than 6 months older than application deadline), EMT Certification (must currently hold certification as National Registered Emergency Medical Technician) required, Firefighter 1 Certification required, Prior FF Experience required, Prior EMT Experience required. 1 year experience preferred but not required. College recommended but not required.
