Port of Seattle Fire Department - Firefighter position. The Port of Seattle is a municipal corporation created September 5, 1911, by the voters of King County. Requirements: Written Examination (Yes, required); Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) (Yes, required); Minimum Age 18; US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident; High School Grad/GED (Yes); Driver's License Required (Yes); No Felony Conviction(s) as an Adult; No Felony Conviction(s) as a Juvenile; Ability to Read, Speak & Write the English Language (Yes); Vision Requirements - Must meet LEOFF II standards; EMT Certification - must be obtained within one year of hire and must be maintained.

Other: Successful candidates will be fingerprinted for a criminal history background check with the FBI. Must also be able to pass a Transportation Security Administration background check. They will also be required to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and may be subject to random drug screening during their probationary period. This selection process may include but is not limited to: evaluation of application materials and testing prior to or following the scheduled oral board.
