Prior to appointment to a position, an applicant must successfully complete a thorough background investigation, psychological evaluation, CPAT, and medical examination. The background investigation may consist of, but is not limited to, the following: criminal, driving, and financial history checks; interview; employment history check; neighborhood check; reference checks. Failure to successfully pass or complete any phase of the pre-employment investigation is cause for removal from employment register.

Timeline:
- Pull list from PST - October 1
- Interview invites sent - Week of October 5
- Oral Board - October 19-21 – no remote interviews offered
- Chief's Interview - October 26
- CPAT Deadline - November 2
- Intent to Hire Letters issued - November 2
- Backgrounds begin - November 2
- Conditional Offers issued on successful completion of background process
- Pre-Employment Process - Backgrounds, Medical & Psych - November– December
- Final Offers - January 2027

Requirements: Age 18, US Citizen, High School Grad/GED, Valid Driver's License, Ability to Read, Speak & Write English, Vision correctable to 20/20, Current paramedic certification OR currently enrolled in paramedic program to be completed prior to hire, Written Examination, CPAT

Salary: $95,383.53 - $135,924.38/annually
