Firefighter

Interested candidates must complete the written examination via Public Safety Testing to be considered. Candidates will be contacted via email once when the filing window closes and will be informed about the next steps in the process. After the written exam, weighted 20% (pass score 70.00 and above), is completed, a limited number of the top-qualifying applicants will be invited an oral panel evaluation weighted 80%. Candidates must successfully complete (Pass) the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) prior to an extension of a conditional job offer.

Hiring offers are contingent upon successful completion of a CPAT, LEOFF medical evaluation, and medical history review, which includes drug testing, and a psychological evaluation is a condition of employment; employment reference check and verification of all applicable certifications. This job classification is represented by the Everett Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 46.

Requirements: Minimum age 21, US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident or DACA, High School Diploma/GED, Valid Washington State driver's license, No adult felony convictions, Ability to read/speak/write English, LEOFF II vision standards, Written Examination required, CPAT required, PST Personal History Statement required within 14 days of passing exam
