Job Title – EMT/Firefighter – Emergency Services

Salary Range - $45,029 to $60,000

Essex County Emergency Services is seeking highly motivated professional individuals to fill full-time Emergency Medical Services/Firefighter positions. This position will perform emergency medical services and firefighter duties as required. You must have (or be eligible for) and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license and have a driving record which reflects a sense of responsibility for highway safety, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer literacy. Candidates will demonstrate an ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, associates, and members of the public.

Qualifications: EMT, EMT-A, EMT-I, or EMT-P, Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification, ACLS, PALS, EVOC, PHTLS, CPR and within one year obtain Firefighter II and Hazardous Materials Operations certifications. This position is subject to a criminal background investigation, drug test and health exam.
