Part-Time Firefighter/EMT

The County of Prince George, Virginia is currently seeking certified applicants for the purpose of creating an on-call pool to be utilized to fill in during times of staff shortages. This position will cover various shifts as needed.

Hourly Wage: BLS - $27.57 Intermediate- $28.95 Paramedic - $30.40

This position will be responsible for responding to emergency calls; providing basic or advanced life support; engaging in active fire suppression; preparing and maintaining detailed records.

Requirements: Virginia or National Registry EMT-Basic, Advanced, Intermediate or Paramedic certification; Virginia Firefighter II certification; CPR, NIMS, ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800, EVOC 1-3; Haz-Mat Operations (DPO and Instructor I preferred); High school diploma, GED or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred); Valid Virginia driver's license; Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays; Pre-employment physical/drug testing and comprehensive criminal and financial background check required
