Job Description
Entry-level firefighter position with Salt Lake City Fire Department. Requires completion of written exam, video interview, and physical assessment. Selected candidates will attend recruit school (Class 60 in Fall 2027 or Class 61 in Spring 2028). Department offers multiple career paths including Paramedic, Heavy Rescue, Aviation, and HazMat specializations.
Requirements: At least 18 years old by written exam date, high school diploma or GED by written exam date, valid driver's license by employment date, ability to legally work in US, pass comprehensive background investigation, pass physical agility test (TPAC), pass medical evaluation. EMT or Paramedic certification not required but preference points awarded.
