The Corsicana Fire Department is committed to serving the community with integrity and professionalism. All applicants seeking an entry-level position must successfully complete the written Civil Service Entrance Examination, which is conducted as necessary to maintain a hiring eligibility list.

Exam & Deadline: An Entry Level Exam for the Corsicana Fire Department will be held on December 12, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at the Corsicana Government Center, 200 N 12th St, Corsicana, TX 75110. Applications will be accepted through Friday, December 4, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Lateral Entry is available to qualified applicants.

Applicants passing the written exam with a score of 70 or above will complete the Fire Recruit Ability Test immediately following the written exam. The physical ability test will be conducted at Fire Station 1, located at 2975 Drane Road, Corsicana, Tx 75110.

Requirements for Application Process: Complete a pre-employment application with the Human Resources and Civil Service Department, Written entrance examination (70% passing), Physical ability test, Background investigation, Physical (after job offer), Drug screen, Polygraph test
