Entry-Level Firefighter

The City of Athens will hold written and physical ability tests for entry-level fire fighter positions at 8 a.m. on Thursday November 12, 2026. Apply by completing the form below and return to City Hall by the deadline via email, fax, or in person.

Interested applicants have two (2) ways to apply: online by completing the "Application for Examination for Entry-Level Firefighter," or by downloading and completing the "Application for Examination for Entry-Level Firefighter." The completed "Application for Examination for Entry-Level Firefighter" can be emailed to humanresources@athenstx.gov or delivered in person to the office of the Civil Service Director at 508 E. Tyler St. Athens, TX 75751.
