Full-Time Firefighter/EMT-B

The Full-Time Firefighter/EMT-B will be assigned to work twenty-four (24) hour shifts, working a pre-set schedule. The Full-time Firefighter/EMT-B/EMT-P will be responsible for responses to Fire and Emergency Medical Incidents, public education programs, pre-fire plan surveys, fire station maintenance, and fire apparatus maintenance. Requirements: Current basic or higher firefighter certification (TCFP), EMT-Basic certification (Texas Department of Health and Services), Valid State of Texas Class A or B driver's license (within 6 months), NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications, Courage to be safe course certificate, High School Diploma or GED (associate degree preferred), 18 years of age or older, US Citizen by birth or naturalization or permanent resident, Able to follow verbal and written instructions, read, write and fluently speak English (bilingual a plus), Pass entrance medical examination, Complete pre-employment drug screening, Complete criminal history background check, Pass District Physical Ability Test (PAT), Willing to work 24-hour shift with rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays year-round, Military Discharge Papers DD-214 (if applicable), 130/190 Wildland training preferred

Salary: Entry Level Annual Salary $50,000 – $60,000 based on years of experience and certifications
