Full Time Firefighter

The City of Coleman, an equal opportunity employer, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a full-time firefighter for the City of Coleman Fire Department. The applicant must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Working a 2/2/3 schedule (aka 48/48/72) 16 hours per 24 hour period are automatically paid with 8 hours rest time that will be paid if response is required during these hours, per FLSA standards
- Respond to fire/rescue/medical/MVC/hazmat incidents and perform required duties
- Use computer equipment for various tasks, such as entering CFS reports
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment, apparatus and facilities
- Assist Fire Marshal in public education and inspections
- Maintain physical fitness level necessary to respond and execute required duties of the position

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Structural Certification by date of hire, Class B Exempt State of Texas driver's license or ability to obtain within 90 days, good driving record, firefighter experience preferred (paid or voluntary capacity)

Salary: $42,690.07 -$53,314.05
