Volunteer Firefighter

The City of Marion Fire Department is accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters who are interested in serving their community and becoming part of a proud tradition of fire and emergency service. Applicants for regular volunteer membership must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, and be willing to complete required training and certification. Previous firefighting experience is not required. The Marion Fire Department will provide training opportunities to help qualified members obtain the certifications and skills necessary to serve safely and effectively. Volunteer firefighters respond to fires, vehicle accidents, rescue incidents, hazardous conditions, and other emergencies. Members also participate in department training, fire prevention activities, public education, community events, and other department functions.
