EMT/Firefighter I

Under the immediate supervision of designated fire officers, an employee receives training in all aspects of extinguishing fires, fire prevention and providing advanced emergency life support care. Work is performed on a rotating shift with periods of strenuous physical effort and exposure to bio-medical hazards, heat, and other unpleasant conditions.

Requirements: 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent, current South Carolina EMT Certification, valid SC Driver's License, ability to pass physical agility test, medical physical examination, and drug testing

Salary: Base salary: $45,150.00 With built-in overtime from 24 hour shifts up to $48,910.00
