Fire Captain (Experienced) - Multiple Positions

Credentialed Firefighter Candidates must possess the following certifications prior to applying and must submit the other requested items:
· SCFA, IFSAC or Pro-Board - NFPA Firefighter II Certification
· SCFA, IFSAC, or Pro-Board - Fire Instructor 1
· SCFA, IFSAC, or Pro-Board – Fire Officer 1
· SCFA, IFSAC, or Pro-Board – Incident Safety Officer
· ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents
· Copy of full transcript and copies of all certificates pertaining to this posting
· Resume with three (3) professional references detailing work experience
· Valid SC Class E Driver's License or CDL with tanker endorsement
· Must have 2 years of experience as a company officer

Qualified applicants will be required to successfully complete the following prior to employment offer:
· Candidate Pre-hire Physical Agility Test
· Oral interview board
· Medical and department physical requirements

To maintain employment candidate must be able to obtain the class and certifications within the timeframe mentioned below (unless already certified):
· Must attend and successfully complete an EMT course within your first year. Following successful completion of the course, you must be able to obtain National Registry Emergency Medical Technician and South Carolina DPH Credential within 8 months after the EMT course ends.

Maintain highest level of ethical conduct and professionalism. Under general supervision respond to fire, medical, and other calls for service. Provides a wide variety of duties related to fire suppression to ensure public safety and welfare. Exercises judgment and safety in all fire, EMS, and rescue related activities. Works under stressful, high-risk conditions. Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
