Job Description
Lateral Firefighter/EMT position for currently employed full-time paid professional firefighters. Requires Rhode Island EMT-Basic certification, Firefighter 1001 levels 1 and 2 certification, and Hazardous Materials Operations certification. Eight-week academy training followed by rotating 24/48/24/96-hour shifts.
Requirements: Currently employed full-time paid professional firefighter, valid motor vehicle operator's license, Rhode Island or National Registered EMT-Basic, Rhode Island/ProBoard/IFSAC Firefighter 1001 levels 1 and 2 certification, Hazardous Materials Operations certification, RIAFC Physical Performance Assessment, background investigation including psychological exam and drug testing
Salary: All in yearly salary without overtime once appointed $58,880.2 (includes base pay, EMT-C or P stipend and holiday pay.) $94,080 all in yearly salary without overtime after 5 years of service (includes base pay, EMT-C or P stipend, holiday pay, longevity supplement, and clothing maintenance allowance)
