Job Description
Part-time fire inspector position (8 hours weekly) performing inspections to ensure compliance with the North Carolina State Fire Prevention Code. Investigates hazardous conditions, orders corrections, and prepares inspection reports. Assists with day-to-day fire department operations under supervision of Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal.
Requirements: NC Standard Level I, II, or III Fire Inspector Certificate, valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, knowledge of firefighting techniques and fire inspection practices, knowledge of building/mechanical/electrical codes
Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 / hr. (DOQ)
