Firefighter (Part-time, Paid-on-Call)

These firefighters are "paid-on-call" meaning they are utilized and paid as needed. Their main duties are directly related to fire suppression. Part-time firefighters at Long View Fire Department are held to the same professional standards as their full-time counterparts. We still have several part-time positions open. If you are interested in serving your community as a firefighter, we would like to talk with you. You may come by the station between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday.

Some of the requirements we have, in addition to the application itself are as follows:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age prior to employment
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Valid Class C or higher North Carolina driver's license
4. Must produce documentation with regards to driving record and criminal history
5. Credit check
6. Birth Certificate

Requirements: At least 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, valid Class C or higher North Carolina driver's license, clean driving record and criminal history, pass credit check, birth certificate
