Volunteer Firefighter

The South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department is seeking new members to enter the ranks of one of the busiest departments in Middlesex County.

To join the senior fire department:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Applicants must obtain a physical from a licensed physician stating applicant is physically fit to perform firefighting duties
- Must obtain NJDFS Firefighter I certification at a local fire academy (training will be paid for by the fire department), OR
- Possess a NJDFS Firefighter I or II certification

Think you have what it takes to be a firefighter? Visit us at the firehouse on any Monday evening between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.

Requirements: Age 18+, physical fitness certification from licensed physician, NJDFS Firefighter I or II certification (training provided)
