Volunteer Wildland Firefighter

Typical Duties: Performs firefighting duties such as combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires and answering emergency calls. Participates in fire drills and attends training classes in firefighting, first aid, and other related subjects. Handles routine custodial maintenance of the Fire Department equipment (such as oxygen breathing equipment, resuscitation equipment, etc.) apparatus and quarters.

Minimum Qualifications: In District Volunteers - Reside or work within the boundaries of Dayton Fire District. Out of District Volunteers - Be willing to volunteer a period of time each month to pull shifts at the Fire Station and respond to calls.
