Job Description
Part-time fire inspector position (8 hours weekly) performing building inspections for compliance with North Carolina State Fire Prevention Code. Investigates hazardous conditions, orders corrections, and prepares inspection reports. Assists with fire department operations under supervision of Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal.
Requirements: NC Standard Level I, II, or III Fire Inspector Certificate, valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, knowledge of firefighting techniques and fire codes, pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check required
Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 / hr. (DOQ)
