Firefighter

Long View Fire Department is a combination department with both full-time and part-time employees. We have several part-time positions open. These firefighters are "paid-on-call" meaning they are utilized and paid as needed. Their main duties are directly related to fire suppression. Part-time firefighters at Long View Fire Department are held to the same professional standards as their full-time counterparts.

If you are interested in serving your community as a firefighter, we would like to talk with you. You may come by the station between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements include:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age prior to employment
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Valid Class C or higher North Carolina driver's license
4. Must produce documentation with regards to driving record and criminal history
5. Credit check
6. Birth Certificate

Requirements: Age 18+, High school diploma or GED, Valid NC Class C or higher driver's license, Clean driving record and criminal background check, Birth certificate
