Job Description
The Greensboro Fire Department is a Class I, Internationally Accredited Fire Department, and is one of 291 agencies to achieve Internationally Accredited Agency status with the CFAI and the Center for Public Safety Excellence Inc. (CPSE). Our mission is to educate and serve people. Our purpose (mission) is to protect life, property, and the environment within every community entrusted to our care.
BENEFITS: The City of Greensboro firefighters are not eligible to receive Social Security. However, firefighters are eligible to participate in LGERS, deferred comp, etc.
COMPETITIVE PAY: Hiring Salary at $49,724.00
ADDITIONAL BONUS PAY: • Signing Bonus of $2,500.
Salary: $49,724.00 - $58,170.00 Annually
