FIREFIGHTER/EMT

Participates in fire suppression, fire education and prevention, technical rescue, emergency medical and other incident response operations. Works 24-hour shifts as part of a team maintaining facilities, equipment, and apparatus. Responds to emergency scenes, performs basic life support and CPR, operates fire extinguishers, forces entry into burning structures, and conducts fire prevention education.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid NC Driver's License, Class B CDL or obtain within 6 months, preferred: NC Firefighter Level II certification and NC EMT Basic certification or obtain within 6 months, pass physical/agility exam, drug test, and criminal background check

Salary: $47,018.47
