Job Description
A rewarding and challenging career responding to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle extrications, water rescues, hazmat mitigation, and disaster response. Entry-level firefighters must have Missouri state EMT certification. Requires 48-hour shifts with 96 hours off between shifts, living at the fire station while on duty.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, at least 18 years of age, ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written), Firefighter I Certification, Firefighter II Certification, Hazmat Awareness and Operations Certifications, Missouri State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification, pass comprehensive written examination, physical ability and strength test, medical exam including vision/hearing tests, psychological exam
