Job Description

The Springfield-Branson National Airport and the City of Springfield is seeking an Aircraft Services Specialist to support safe and efficient airport operations. This position provides aircraft fueling and ground services while also performing Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), emergency medical response, airfield inspections, and other aviation-related support. Working under the supervision of the Airport Operations Supervisor and Aircraft Services Coordinator, this position plays an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for passengers, airport employees, pilots, and the general public.

What You'll Do
Provide aircraft services requested by pilots, airline personnel, and General Aviation, including aircraft fueling and deicing operations. Marshal aircraft into parking positions and properly secure parked aircraft. Operate aviation fueler trucks and transfer fuel from bulk storage tanks to appropriate fuel compartments. Receive aviation fuel deliveries, perform quality-control testing, and maintain daily fuel inventories. Conduct safety and quality-control inspections of aviation fuel and fuel-handling equipment. Operate specialized ARFF vehicles and equipment and participate in ongoing training. Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency medical assistance. Respond to aircraft accidents, fires, and other hazardous rescue situations. Operate radios and other communications equipment. Operate hand and power tools, winter operations equipment, emergency apparatus, and other specialized equipment. Conduct airfield inspections and report unsafe conditions. Perform security checks of aircraft parking areas and airport gates. Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment and facilities. Maintain equipment and tools in safe operating condition.

The Springfield-Branson National Airport is now accepting applications for our newly approved Aircraft Services Technician position. Our new opportunity, offers new hires 12 months to obtain the EMT-B Certificate. THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR 2ND AND 3RD SHIFTS

Qualifications and Requirements
Aircraft Services Specialist: Requires six months experience in one of the following areas: aircraft rescue firefighting, structural firefighting, emergency medical technician or related capacity; PREFERRED One year of experience working with or around aircraft. Must possess a valid driver's license; Must obtain and maintain a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank/hazmat endorsements within the probationary period; Missouri State EMT-B certification and IFSAC Firefighter I and II certification; Must obtain 40 hours Aircraft Rescue Firefighting within 12 months of employment; All certifications must be maintained throughout appointment.

Aircraft Services Technician: Six months experience in one of the following areas: aircraft rescue firefighting, structural firefighting, or related capacity. Must obtain Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate within the first (12) twelve months of hire. PREFERRED One year of experience working with or around aircraft. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license; Must obtain and maintain a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tank/hazmat endorsements within the probationary period. IFSAC Firefighter I and II certification required; Must obtain 40 hours Aircraft Rescue Firefighting within 12 months of employment. All certifications must be maintained throughout appointment.

Requirements: Six months experience in aircraft rescue firefighting, structural firefighting, emergency medical technician or related capacity; Valid driver's license; Class B CDL with tank/hazmat endorsements within probationary period; Missouri State EMT-B certification; IFSAC Firefighter I and II certification; 40 hours Aircraft Rescue Firefighting within 12 months of employment

Salary: $45,593.60 - $72,841.60 Annually
