Job Description
The Kearney Fire & Rescue Protection District is a combination department that employs full-time staff as well as volunteer members. Personnel are divided into three shifts (A, B, and C Shift). Each shift works 24 hours and then is off 48 hours. The shifts start at 7:00 a.m. Volunteers and part-time personnel may supplement the staffing on these shifts.
Minimum qualifications for Full-Time: Minimum 18 Years Old, High School Diploma or Equivalent, Valid Operator License, Current EMT or EMT-P License, Good Physical Condition, Prefer FF I & II, CPAT certification or completion of department physical agility assessment.
