Start as a Firefighter/EMT and advance your career by obtaining Paramedic license within 36 months. The City will pay for your Paramedic License.

Work Schedule: 24-hour shift schedule, approximately 10–11 working days per month

- Defined Benefit Pension (Act 345): Retirement after 25 years of service (any age), age 55 with 10 years of service, or age 60 regardless of years of service
- IAFF MERP (Retirement Healthcare Funding): City contributes 4% of wages, employee contributes 2.5% pre-tax

Requirements: EMT certification (Paramedic certification preferred)

Salary: Salary range: $61,264.63 – $80,039.48 (based on EMT or Paramedic certification)
