Paramedic/Firefighter-Cadet

The Charter Township of Redford and the Redford Township Police and Fire Civil Service Commission are accepting applications for the position of Paramedic/Firefighter-Cadet for the purpose of establishing an eligibility list. A Paramedic/Firefighter-Cadet candidate shall be compensated at 90% of the entry firefigher established wage scale, until the state of Michigan Firefighter I and II certificates are obtained. Salary - $53,146/year

Only completed applications including copies of the following will be considered: State of Michigan Paramedic Certification or National Registry-Paramedic, American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) Certifications, Certificate for Conference of Western Wayne (CWW) Firefighter's Testing Program CPAT Certification.

Successful Candidate must obtain the Firefighter I and II certification within one (1) year of hire. Employee will attend Fire Academy or work Rescue as a Paramedic until Firefighter I and II certification obtained.
