Job Description
The Orion Township Fire Department is an all-hazards department that provides fire protection and Advanced Life Support emergency medical services to the Orion Township residents, businesses, and visitors. The department protects 36 square miles with a population of 40,000 residents. The fire department responds from four fire stations to over 3,500 calls a year.
Position: Firefighter/Paramedic (full-time) This is a 56-hour workweek schedule. A candidate with prior experience as a firefighter may be placed at a higher rate of one (1) step for each year of prior experience, up to a maximum of four (4) steps.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, at least 18 years old, Citizen or Legal resident of the United States, Valid driver's license, must pass criminal background investigation, must be able to read/write/understand English, physical condition appropriate for position, Current EMPCO exam with minimum 70% score, State of Michigan Paramedic License or EMT Basic License, State of Michigan Firefighter I II Certification, Hazardous Materials - Operations level Certification, AHA BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association ACLS provider, Physical agility test (CPAT or BPAT) or NOMAA agility exam by time of oral interview
Salary: $68,082 - $91,165*
