Firefighter-Paramedic

The City of Watertown was approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Human Resources Division (HRD) to establish a Local Register - Alternate Pathway Program for its Fire Department. The city is looking to fill multiple vacancies for the position of Firefighter-Paramedic. To learn more about the Local Register program, please click HERE. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, between the ages of 19 and 31, and hold an active Paramedic certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Please fill out the application completely including information on legal authorization, age, veteran status, current employment as a Firefighter-Paramedic in Massachusetts, any relationships to City of Watertown municipal employees or elected officials, paramedic certifications, other relevant certifications, fluency in other languages, education, work experience with three most recent employers, and up to three professional and character references (who cannot be immediate or extended family members).

Requirements: Firefighter/Paramedic certification, fire science or related degree (optional for incentives)

Salary: Base salary of $88,014.67. Additional education incentives for qualifying degrees in fire science or related field include $6770.49 – Associate's degree and $10,159.35 – Bachelor's degree
