Fill out, sign, and submit both the Firefighter Application and the STFPD#1 Application Waivers to [email protected]

Submit the following documents along with your application and waivers to [email protected]:
- a copy of your drivers license
- proof of the education requirement (i.e., high school diploma, college diploma or transcripts)
- proof that you are a United States citizen (i.e., birth certificate, US Passport).
- copies of any applicable additional certificates or training (for example: CPR, EMR, EMT, ICS, – if FF already, include FFI, HazMat)

Once your Application, Waivers and additional documents are received at [email protected], you will receive an email from the STFPD#1 Training Academy confirming receipt and informing you of the next steps in the process, including applying to take the Civil Service Exam for Firefighter

In-person Regional exams are available through the Office of State Examiner: https://ose.louisiana.gov/regional-testing/ (however, be aware that the in-person exams may take longer in scheduling and to receive exam results.

Requirements: High school diploma or college diploma or transcripts, US citizenship, CPR, EMR, EMT, ICS certifications (if applicable), FFI and HazMat (if already a firefighter)
