Volunteer Firefighter

The Lake Jericho Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is an 100% all professional volunteer fire and rescue department. This is a great opportunity to serve your community while receiving some invaluable training and experiences that will last a lifetime. Our department will accept applications of interested candidates on a year-round basis from those who reside in the designated areas who wish to volunteer in support of our mission which is to provide fire prevention-education, fire suppression and emergency services response to our community. Periods for application review, interviewing, acceptance and denials are typically held quarterly throughout the year.

Requirements: 18 years of age (15 for cadets), U.S. citizen, high school/GED/equivalent graduate (unless applying for Cadet position), valid Kentucky driver's license, good moral character with no criminal or felony convictions, reside or work in Lake Jericho service area (or adjacent city/town)
