Job Description
The Amana Fire Department is looking for self motivated, energetic men and women with a desire to learn and a passion for helping others.
Firefighter duties includes:
Structural fire response
Accident scene response
Hazmat response
Station and equipment maintenance
Membership process:
Interview with hiring committee
Introduction to membership at a business meeting after department voting
One-year probationary period
Attend monthly training on the second Wednesday of every month
Attend additional probationary training
Attend scheduled business meetings on the fourth Wednesday of every month
Attend emergency calls when available
Obtain firefighter 1 and hazmat ops certification before becoming a full member
Requirements: Firefighter 1 certification, Hazmat Ops certification, pass background check, willing to attend monthly training and business meetings, available for emergency calls
