Volunteer Firefighter-Internship

Minooka Fire Protection District seeks men and women interested in becoming career firefighters. Volunteer firefighters work alongside on-duty firefighters responding to calls, operating apparatus, and providing fire suppression, rescue and life safety services. The District provides job training, education and certifications. Position available to residents of Minooka Fire Protection District, Channahon, or Shorewood.

Requirements: Minimum 18 years old, good physical condition, pass medical physical and physical agility evaluation, pass initial and random drug/alcohol screenings, no felony or serious misdemeanor conviction, minimum 3 hours training per week commitment, 3 letters of recommendation (one from active service firefighter)
