FIREFIGHTER

The Village of East Alton is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for Probationary Firefighter positions. Applicants can test for East Alton only, Wood River only, or both departments under a joint application process. A single written test serves both departments, with separate oral examinations and eligibility lists thereafter.

Requirements: Age 21-35 (unless federal/state exceptions apply), High School Diploma or equivalent, current CPAT certification at time of oral interviews, live within 20 linear miles of corporate limits, capable of passing extensive background investigation, meet all standards required by statute and ordinance, 1 year at date of hire
