Firefighter

Full-time firefighter position with the Idaho Falls Fire Department. All firefighters are cross-trained as EMTs or paramedics and hold additional credentials for specialty teams including swift water rescue, search and rescue, hazardous materials, and all-hazards incident management. The department typically holds one to two recruit academies per year.

Requirements: At least 18 years of age by test date, High School Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver's License, Medical examination (after contingent offer), Background check (after contingent offer), Pass written exam, Pass physical agility test (Combat Challenge in under 7 minutes plus 75-foot ladder climb)
