Job Description
Entry-level firefighter position with the Boise Fire Department. Candidates must complete a written exam and virtual interview (July 1 - August 23, 2026), pass a physical fitness test, oral interview, and conditional job offer process. Recruit Academy begins January 25, 2027. Position offers professional development in a team-oriented environment with specialized teams in Hazardous Materials, ARFF, Dive, and Technical Rescue.
Requirements: Age 18+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, current National Registry or state-issued EMT Basic Certification, ability to meet physically demanding standards, no felony convictions, no visible tattoos above collar of standard short-sleeved t-shirt
