Job Description
The Cape Coral Fire Department is currently hiring for a Fire Safety Educator. The posting is open until November 12 at 11:59pm.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related field; Valid driver's license (must obtain a valid Florida driver's license within 30-days of hire); Two (2) years of experience in classroom teaching.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, prepare, schedule, coordinate, and conduct fire safety prevention/education programs to include schools, with a focus on kindergarten and 4th grade students, camps, civic groups, Boy and Girl Scout troops, businesses, and social organizations. Programs are able to be accommodated onsite or at a fire station. Evaluate programs for relevance, improvement, and expansion and adjusts goals, objectives, and focus as needed based on current events, public safety issues, community concerns, etc. Schedule, coordinate, and, as necessary, attend educational truck displays for community events including providing lesson plans to the firefighters to use when not in attendance. Prepares and delivers oral presentations in front of public groups (not school groups).

Salary: $53,393.60 - $83,512.00 Annually
