Job Description

Volunteer firefighters perform core firefighting tasks including combating, extinguishing and preventing fires, operating fire apparatus, using power tools (Jaws of Life), and learning fireground operating procedures. Training includes Firefighter I (14-week program) and Firefighter II certifications.

Requirements: Age 18+, valid Connecticut driver's license, satisfactory driving record, pass background checks and physical exam, Firefighter I and II certifications required after probationary period
